How do the sliding ears on the KONG Scrumplez Koala work?
The koala's ears are threaded through a channel in the toy's head so they can be pulled from either side. The ears contain a squeaker, so pulling or tugging on them produces a sound that encourages further play. This design adds an interactive tugging element that a standard plush toy does not offer, and dogs often discover it by accident when mouthing or carrying the toy, which makes the discovery feel rewarding and keeps interest going longer.

Is the KONG Scrumplez Koala suitable for all dogs?
The Scrumplez Koala is designed to be suitable for dogs of all sizes, though it is best matched to dogs who enjoy gentle play rather than aggressive chewing or destruction. It is particularly well suited to dogs who like comfort toys they can carry and snuggle with, as the soft rumpled plush is designed with that in mind. Very powerful or destructive chewers would likely be better served by a more robust KONG product.

Is the KONG Scrumplez Koala suitable for indoor use only?
The Scrumplez Koala is designed primarily for gentle indoor play rather than rough outdoor fetch or tug sessions. The soft plush construction is not built to withstand wet, muddy or abrasive outdoor conditions. It works well as a snuggle companion and a light interactive toy for indoor play; for outdoor play or fetch a more robust toy would be a better fit.

How do I care for the KONG Scrumplez Koala?
The toy should be hand washed with mild detergent and allowed to air dry fully before being returned to your dog. Do not machine wash or tumble dry as this can damage the internal squeaker and the structure of the sliding ear channel. Inspect it regularly and replace it if any damage to the plush or internal parts is visible.
