What is the Trixie BE NORDIC range?

The BE NORDIC range is Trixie's nautical-themed collection of plush dog toys featuring maritime animal characters such as ducks, seals, crabs, seagulls and other ocean creatures. What sets the range apart from standard Trixie plush toys is the internal rustling foil combined with the squeaker, which gives dogs two types of audio stimulation in one toy. Trixie also donates a portion of sales from the BE NORDIC series to maritime nature conservation projects, making it a purchase that contributes directly to ocean and wildlife protection.

What does the rustling foil inside the toy do?

The rustling foil is stitched inside the body of the toy and produces a crinkling sound when the dog bites, squeezes, shakes or mouths the toy. This mimics the sound of small prey animals moving through undergrowth and strongly activates a dog's natural hunting and play instincts. Combined with the squeaker, the dual audio stimulation makes the toy more engaging and harder to put down than a standard single-squeaker plush toy. The foil is safely enclosed within the plush outer layer and poses no risk to dogs during normal gentle play.

Is the Trixie BE NORDIC Duck suitable for aggressive chewers?

The BE NORDIC Duck is a soft polyester plush toy designed for gentle play only. It is not suitable for dogs that chew aggressively or tend to dismantle soft toys quickly. For heavy chewers, KONG rubber toys or the KONG Wild Knots range with their internal rope skeleton construction are more appropriate choices. The BE NORDIC Duck works best as a comfort toy, a shaking and carrying toy or a gentle fetch toy for dogs that are careful with their belongings.

How do I clean the Trixie BE NORDIC Duck?

Trixie plush toys can generally be hand-washed with mild soap and warm water and left to air dry fully before returning to your dog. Do not machine wash unless confirmed safe on the product care label. Always allow the toy to dry completely before your dog plays with it again; a damp toy with internal rustling foil can develop mould inside if not dried thoroughly.
